Will an adjustment cause a stroke? The chance of having a stroke from a chiropractic adjustment is about 1 in 7,000,000. Actually, you have a 1 in 280,000 chance of being struck by lightning. Which means you are 25 times more likely to get struck by lightning than to suffer stroke from a chiropractic adjustment.

Are Chiropractors real doctors? Chiropractors are indeed real doctors licensed by the state in which they practice. They are recognized by the state and federal governments. Treatment is reimbursed by Medicare and most insurances. D.C. stands for Doctor of Chiropractic.
